I am Brazilian and lived for 14 years in the United States before moving to France. I’m a medical technologist and epidemiologist by training, having received my BS in Medical and Research Technology from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, USA and my MSc in epidemiology from the University of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. I have been working in the field of stem cell transplantation for a while, first as a medical technologist in a cell processing/engineering laboratory at Georgetown University Hospital, and later in the role of data/ quality manager of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at University of Maryland Medical System, before joining Eurocord. In my role as a study coordinator at Eurocord, I have the opportunity to work closely in a variety of projects with experts in stem cell transplantation from around the world and contribute to improving patient care through research.  The top benefit of my work is being able to work in all stages of a study, from brainstorming, data collection, statistical analysis as well as writing and editing manuscripts. Besides being passionate about science, I also love being a mom, traveling, going to the movies, learning foreign languages among many other fun things.
