I am a Mexican Medical Doctor who has been living in Paris since 2021. My educational background also includes a Master’s Degree in Health Sciences and a PhD in Medical Investigation, both at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico. Before undergoing a second Master’s Degree (Public Health/Advanced Statistics and Epidemiology) in Spain and France, I worked as a Medical Researcher in the field of hematology, oncology, and hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nutricion “Salvador Zubiran” a National Institute of Health in Mexico City. I am a Researcher of the National System of Researchers in Mexico (SNI, for its acronym in Spanish); Faculty of the American Society of Hematology Clinical Research Training Institute in Latin America; and former Global Oncology Young Investigator Award Recipient on behalf of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. My investigations have mainly focused on outcomes research aiming to improve results for patients undergoing HCT at limited-resource settings in developing countries. I recently joined the Eurocord team which has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Overall, I love research, especially the biostatistical part of it. My other passions include modern literature, cooking, restaurants, wine and coffee tasting, traveling, and my cute dog Leonardo.
